  1. From Piranesi’s sublime ruins, to Archigram’s 60’s pop urbanisms, to Rem Koolhaas’ axonometric grid of sculptural fantasies, drawings have played a crucial role in architectural discourse. To understand architecture is both to read its two-dimensional representations and to experience its three-dimensional space. Thus we were recently stopped in our tracks when we came across Stanley Tigerman’s satirical architectural drawings, now on show at his retrospective at the Yale School of Architecture Gallery.
